synopsis:

For my essay i am gonna record images of my little brother playing with his toys and the reason i want to do this is because its like a memorable moment in my life and i care about people in my family especially my little brother and my little brother will be playing with all his toys such has transformers  and his toy cars.

Audience:
For my picture video clip the audience is for ages 18 and above because its related to a caring moment and its for all ages above eighteen for its music i am going to add to it.

structure:
i will take photographs of my little brother playing with his toys to show he his apart of my life but my little brother also and will record him playing with his toys at different angles.

Photo Essay: Evaluation

Evaluation:

The photo essay assignment was based on the vimeo project of the same name.

The vimeo brief states:

"whether it's guys dropping in on thirty foot waves, a family's first trip to Disney World or a plastic bag floating aimlessly against a brick wall, moving images have excited or comforted all of us at some point.
What we're perhaps less accustomed to is the power of still images. More specifically, series of photographs set to sound, used to tell a STORY. We frequently see this used in online journalism. I suppose you could call these "slideshows," but it would be more appropriate to call these "photo essays."

For my photo essay I photographed images of my little brother when he is playing with his toys. I wanted  to show that he is a important person in my family and I care for him. I shot the pictures from different angles - primarily close-ups and mid-shots as I wanted to put the audience into his world. 

Editing:

When i brought my images into college to be edited i first uploaded them to final cut pro and when i gathered all the images together i put them into video clip form and i gathered effects such has fading in and out of scenes then i fort fading out at the start of the clip was to much so just left it and let it fade out on the end of the video.

I used a fade effect at the end of the video and also put calm music - the piano was designed to suggest a childlike world. The use of music aids the visuals and directs the audiences emotions. I also edited the photos - adding light to certain shots so that they are more visible.

The reason:

The reason i did the photos and why i based it on my little brother is because its shows he is apart of the family and i love him  very much and basically showing its a memorable moment for me because he is living life has a child and playing with toys like a normal child would do.

What i did in class (editing):

In th lesson i uploaded final cut pro and i imported my images on it then iu dragged the images on the panel on final cut pro and i laid them out to make sure they were in the right places then after that i took some images out so it wasn't to long but not to short then after all that was done i added effects such has fade outs and music and the music i used was memorable that was out of wall-e and the reason i used that music it to make it a happy moment but makes u wanna watch more.

Feedback (improvements):

At the end of the lesson  i got feedback from other people in my class and improvement that i would do if i did the assignment again is to do a better ending for my video and other people in the lesson fort it needed to be a bit longer but from all that everyone thinks the music was good for what i did for my video and the only other bad feedback is that the music cuts of to early in the video.

Editing:

In my film clip there is been special effects made in it such has slow motion done to it to give it an effect in the fight scene such has the jumping slow motion action giving the effect he is trying to get away but lead the bad guys to there justice.

At the start of the clip it shows the main character neo stopping the bullets with his powers and has the bad guys carry on shooting it shows the effects of slow motion used to show the reaction of what shooting a machine gun does and the muscles of the other characters moving and also though the hole clips the slow motion is used to bring out the better reactions and making the scene last longer and better.

music:
The action music gives the clip more excitement because it sounds like the music goes with clip and also when neo the main guy in the film gets hit on the hand with the sword the music starts again but has you listen the music sounds like the fight is going to get more intense.

This is a image of the jump scene in the film and it shows the effects with music can be used to make the film  better and with more action in it and this relates to the special effects used in the film which is when they go slow motion the image is apart of the film showing what the scene of the clip is based on.

lighting:
In the scene the lighting has the flooded the room to show that natural lighting comes from the windows but also from the lighting in the room and the lights give it better effects to show the actions and fight scene clearly and what the emotions the characters have in the scene but also showing all the weapon they use of the wall and they fight with them.

In my recent lesson with mark i edited my haiku video in lesson with final cut pro to make the effects and sounds made to do it :

This is an example of a image of what final cut pro is and what it looks like.
For the task we did we had to do a five second,seven second and five second clips and edit them into a video about a peom of your own choice or make one your self then after u pick your peom u have to relate your poem to your video.
I did my video on about a candle for the first clip were it flickers then the second clip was about a set of stairs that is full of fear then for the last clip i  did steam to show there is emotions in the air.

Production log

Today i have edited the video clips and images and made one good clip all together and i have edited with music and fused to clips to make i better and makes the interview more interesting and in the weeks i gathered the films like the interview of my father and a video clip with motocross to bring my topic along and explain it more and with all the videos,images and editing i made a great video and presenting it to the class today in lesson.

For my video i had interviewed my dad and have other clips to put togther with my work and i will edit it all together tommrow in my lesson and i have got some other videos and images and my interview is related to recording my dad and also clips and images mainly of motocross inbetween the interview clips of my dad.

Film 4.Main ideas for my video?

For my ideas for my interview video i has chosen  a member of my family because hge has the same interests has me and he has got me into the same things has him.

I did the interview of my dad because his main hobby his motocross and i am doing a documenty on that and my dad will answer some questions of why he likes the sport and so on.

i did the interview in my house at nottingham but it will also has other clips mixed and edited with in the video to show the big reason why but also the main points evoled in what he does.
The subject is motocross and my dad first did it and he got me into it which also makes it more worth wild to interview my dad.

film four(4) why i interviewed you?

For my task i have to pick a member of the community or friend or even family and i have to interview them on about what they like to do or there hobby and its bascially a interview about the person u have choosen and for my interview i have choose a member of the family which is my dad because i think he is good at what he does and why he likes it and other things.
The interview is basically to follow a person for the day and interview them on what they do best and what they do in there lifes and the video has to be no longer then one minute.
Then after i has gathered all my videos all togther i will edit them on final cut pro at college and with the video is can be a interview shot has a documenty or part of a documenty and in my video i asked them questions like why,what and things related to there hobby or there day to day things in life.

What i did for my homemade portrait :)

For the task i have chosen to do my karate group and the reason why i choose this subject because it is interesting what happens in day to day bases and has i did my films i did it from different angles in the room they were doing martail arts and i have been doing martial arts for three years and most of the karate class has well and on saturday 15th october i filmed this and i will edit it tommrow and make it look alot better.

Equitment used to shoot homemade portrait

I used this tripod to do my homemade portrait to keep the filming steady and make sure it is smooth in the video also and i other eason i used this type of tripod because it is light to carry to travel and other things and keeps the camera at a decent hight when i am also recording.

• synopsis 

My filming will take place in centre of derby and will be doing five,five second videos and i am doing it about what life and different things that happen in derby like the busy times of derby and other things such has the buses leaving the stations and the taxis picking up people of derby to take them places and other things to do with derby in todays life time and the atmosphere of derby and showing how popular derby is today because westfiled has came in derby.

• Audience 

My 25 second video clip is suitable for all ages above ten because children will like it for seeing what derby is like and how busy is it and if they are new at derby then they have the chance to see different places of derby for what it is and it is suitable for adults and elderly and again if they are new and they have never see derby then they will have a chance to see the life of what derby is like has well and thats why its suitable for most ages and audiences of today.

• The big idea

The main idea of my 25 second video clip is to capture the atmosphere of derby and the beauty it holds such has derby in bloom and how busy derby is because of how popular derby is and attracting more people to come derby .

For my production log i am doing about derby and what derby is like in the day and i recorded five,five second videos and with each video i did different locations of derby such has the old assembly rooms in derby and the new quad museum and other new things in derby and the meaning of these five second video clips is because i want to capture what life if like in derby in the day which has i notice is always busy and every one is going to work and doing there things such has catching the bus and taxis.

Ideas i want to do for my twenty second video:

• my main idea is to film the location of derby and the different locations of derby such has doing five seconds in each different area of derby.

1.  Equipment  i will use will be a canon camera and my own tripod to carry out the assignment and i will use all my stuff to do the task of going around derby town and recording five seconds of different locations of derby.

I gone back to my last idea of going around derby has the idea to go into a musuem was closed so i have now got my ideas and clips to edit and improve to make them into a more develop one minute video.

I got this link to show and example of what this clip can do to give me ideas and i have got a different idea but its still plaecd in derby but i am now doing the area of my one minute clip in derby museam and going around showing different artifacts.
